Community Service

Service to Others

An important aspect of our student’s education is an emphasis on service to others.  In our lower school, students raise money each year for St. Judes and the American Heart Association.  At Christmas items are collected and donated to a local animal shelter.  In the upper school, all students are required to take a Service Learning class where they perform all types of service projects at school and in the community.  Our student organization, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), hosts middle and upper school classes for volunteer work at the local food pantry.  Our Service Learning class hosts a Pink Out Day each year, raising money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

During the month of October, TA’s Service Learning class held events to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.  The class held a “Put Your Teacher In Jail” event, a Pink Out Day & Volleyball Tournament, and a Halloween Movie Madness event.  All proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
