Fostering the Development of the Whole Child
Our preschool program provides a caring, nurturing, and safe learning environment to prepare students academically, emotionally, and socially for kindergarten. In our pre-k3 and pre-k4 classrooms, we foster the development of the whole child with activities that encourage hands-on learning, creativity, exploration, discovery, observation, and self-expression. Tidewater Academy’s preschool is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Social Services and accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools. Parents may select a 3 or 5-day program and the full or half-day schedule.
Providing a Solid Foundation With a Stimulating, Age Appropriate Curriculum
Daily school activities are based on learning objectives and a stimulating, age-appropriate curriculum. Students participate in learning centers, story time, computer activities, one-on-one instruction, group instruction, art and music enrichment, outdoor activities, and field trips. We will provide your preschooler with a solid foundation that offers readiness for formal reading, math, and other academic instruction.
