2025-2026 Tuition & Fees
ANNUAL REGISTRATION FEES (NEW AND RETURNING STUDENTS):
A non-refundable registration fee of $225 per preschool student.
A non-refundable registration fee of $325 per student (grades K-12; maximum of $1,000).
A completed Enrollment Contract is due when registration fees are paid.
ENROLLMENT FEES (NEW STUDENTS):
Application Fee - $25 per child (includes testing)
Building Fund Fee - New TA Families will be assessed a one-time $500.00 Building Fund Fee.
Students entering Kindergarten from our TA Preschool will be assessed a one-time $250.00 Building Fund Fee.
PRESCHOOL TUITION:
Families may choose from a variety of preschool enrollment options.
It is recommended that students in the four-year-old class attend preschool most or all days of the week to ease the transition to kindergarten the following year.
GRADES K-12 TUITION:
Families with three or more children in grades K-12 will be assessed half of the regular tuition for the third (youngest) child.
TEXTBOOKS AND WORKBOOKS:
Grades 1-12 require textbooks. A list of ISBN numbers for textbooks used in each class is made available to parents prior to the school year.
Textbooks are often available through venues including Amazon, eBay, and Thrift Books.
Some textbooks will be available for purchasing/rental through the school.
Used books may be purchased from students or parents through informal book exchanges.
If applicable, textbooks may be purchased on a student’s personal IPAD or Kindle for usage in the Middle and Upper School.
Consumable workbooks are needed for grades K through 2nd grades. These will be purchased by the school in bulk and billed to each student’s family after purchase. The estimated cost for these workbooks is $70-$95.
CLASS/GRADE EXPENSES AND FEES:
Students will be expected to have all required supplies as listed on the annual supply list.
There will be occasional special activity fees and field trip expenses.
Students in classes that routinely require expendable, course-specific supplies will be assessed a class fee. Families will be invoiced for the relevant fees at the start of each year. These fees will be invoiced separately from the tuition invoices.
Art students will be assessed an additional fee of $20 for art supplies.
Students in grades 8-12 taking science labs will be assessed an additional fee of $30 for lab supplies.
Middle-school STEM and Exploratory classes will be assessed a $20 fee for materials.
Junior students will be assessed an additional fee of $50 for class activities.
Senior students will be assessed an additional fee of $75 for class activities.
TRANSPORTATION:
Transportation to/from campus will be offered for the 2025-2026 school year. The cost is $895.00 per year, per family. Route information is described on the Transportation Form.
A completed Transportation Form and payment arrangements are required prior to a student riding on school transportation.
Affordability and Financial Assistance
A Parent’s Guide to Financial Assistance
Tidewater Academy is proud to offer affordable and competitive tuition rates to all our families. We are also proud to provide financial assistance to eligible families in need. Our Director of Admissions is available to assist you through this completely confidential process. Tidewater Academy currently partners with the website Student Services Solutions to ensure confidentiality and equity. Assistance is available for students who are enrolled in Kindergarten through Grade 12, and all financial assistance grants are determined based on financial need. Please know that Tidewater Academy has a strong commitment to providing assistance to our families. However, applying does not guarantee that you will be found eligible for financial assistance nor does being eligible guarantee the grant will be fully funded or available. We also consider our school-specific policies, practices, and available budgets, all of which impact determination of eligibility. In order for new families to be considered for financial assistance, all information must be on file in the Admissions Office and turned in before the enrollment contract is signed. All information received in the Admissions Office is considered confidential and it is expected that all information sent from said office will remain confidential. Visit the Student Services Solutions website (solutionbysss.com) to complete the Parent’s Financial Statement (PFS) online.
As soon as you have completed your PFS online, send the following documents to our Admissions Office at the Director of Admissions’ attention:
A copy of the most recent 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ completed tax return
A copy of the most recent W2 forms
*The above-mentioned copies must be submitted by all parties legally and financially responsible for the student(s).
